Phone broken and insured with FBTO?

At FBTO you compose your insurance yourself. Damage to your phone, tablet or laptop can be compensated through your contents insurance, provided you have taken out the right modules. FBTO works with a Basic package and an extended variant that you can supplement.

For self-inflicted damage, such as a fallen phone, you need the All Risk module. This also covers accidents and your own clumsiness inside and outside your home.

When does FBTO compensate for damage to your device?

FBTO assesses each claim on the basis of your policy conditions and the modules you have taken out. These are the most common situations with contents insurance, possibly extended with All Risk or Theft Plus.

Fire, water and storm damage in your home
Damage due to your own clumsiness (with All Risk)
