Phone broken and insured with Interpolis?

With Interpolis, your phone, tablet or laptop is insured in several ways. Indoors, through your home contents insurance, you are covered for things like theft after burglary, fire and lightning damage. For fall damage at home, you need the contents insurance All Risk.

For damage, theft or loss away from home in the Netherlands, Interpolis offers a separate BuitenDeDeur insurance policy. This covers cell phones, tablets and laptops if you drop them, lose them or if they are stolen.

When will Interpolis reimburse damage to your device?

Interpolis assesses each claim based on your policy conditions. These are the most common situations through contents insurance, Contents All Risk and BuitenDeDeur insurance.

Typically reimbursed

Theft after breaking into your home (contents).
Fire, lightning and scorch or melt damage at home
Fall damage at home (with Contents All Risk)
Falls or bumps outdoors (with BuitenDeDeur)
Theft or loss outside the home in the Netherlands (with BuitenDeDeur)

Age or wear and tear, such as a declining battery
Leaving your device unattended (carelessness)
