At Allianz Nederland, damage to your phone, tablet or laptop is assessed through your contents insurance. This page is intended for customers with a policy through an intermediary or advisor. Did you take out your insurance online? Then you are probably a customer of Allianz Direct.

Theft after burglary, fire and water damage are covered by standard coverage, including for mobile electronics.

Be careful: fall and impact damage to smartphones, tablets and smartwatches is explicitly excluded by Allianz, even with the All Risk extension. So in most cases, a fallen screen will not be reimbursed through your contents insurance.

When does Allianz compensate for damage to your device?

Allianz assesses each claim based on your policy conditions. These are the most common situations with contents insurance, possibly extended with All Risk.

Normal use (scratches, dents without functional damage)
Intentional damage or fraud
