Because ThePhoneLab is Apple’s Independent Repair Provider, you often have the choice between an original Apple part and a cheaper compatible part from ThePhoneLab when repairing your iPhone.
For example, in a battery/battery replacement, you can choose from 2 options:
- ThePhoneLab – Compatible battery of comparable quality to the original.
- Original Apple – Original Apple battery through the Independent Repair Provider program, retaining factory warranty.
An original battery is identical to the part that a new iPhone comes with. A compatible part from ThePhoneLab is of the highest quality, but because it is not from Apple we offer it at a lower price.
In an iPhone screen repair, you have up to four different screen options:
- Compatible LCD – Not original, but the lowest price guarantee.
- ThePhoneLab – Compatible screen of comparable quality to the original.
- Refurbished Original – Refurbished screen, most durable choice
- Original Apple – Original Apple screen through the Independent Repair Provider program, retaining factory warranty.
For other iPhone repairs, we usually use compatible parts.
