Your iPhone Xr has had an LCD screen installed from Apple. All of the options we offer include an LCD screen.

ThePhoneLab screen is a non-original LCD screen and the cheapest option to repair your iPhone screen. The colors and touch sensitivity of ThePhoneLab screen may differ from the original or refurbished original screen. How these differences are perceived varies from user to user.

A Refurbished original screen is a recycled original Apple screen. When a screen breaks, in many cases it is only the glass. The screen is fitted with a new (non-original) glass panel, giving this previously broken screen a new life. The screen and touch layer (digitizer) are original. Hence, the operation is identical to the original screen. Also, by reusing non-wearing parts, this is the most sustainable choice.

After replacing the screen of an iPhone 11 or newer, you will see a notification in the settings that the newly installed screen is not original. This does not affect the operation of your iPhone. It does, however, potentially affect your manufacturer’s warranty.

We offer a lifetime warranty on all screens and the repair time is 30 minutes.

Because we are Apple’s Independent Repair Provider, we can also source genuine parts from Apple. With the iPhone Xr, however, we have chosen not to offer an Apple original screen anymore. The price of this is so high relative to the value of your iPhone Xr that it is no longer profitable to repair it. Qualitatively, the Refurbished original screen is comparable and hundreds of Euros cheaper.

After you have your iPhone Xr screen repaired it can last for years again. However, it is recommended that you use a good case and have a good screen protector installed right away. This can be done at our store or in our GadgetClub.

Screen sensitivity has decreased, which is often a defect in the touchscreen. We often cannot make this without repairing your iPhone Xr screen. You can always stop by our store. There we can perform a free diagnosis and may still be able to fix the problem without you having to have your iPhone Xr display repaired.

The moment cracks are visible on the front of the device, then there are cracks in the glass of your iPhone Xr display and then the device is no longer waterproof. Often there are also dents or dents or dents in the frame, so waterproofing is no longer guaranteed either. Finally, rubber seals at the buttons and charging port wear out when using your iPhone Xr. There may also be black spots or streaks in the iPhone Xr screen and the glass is not broken. This is also caused by drop or impact damage and unfortunately is also not covered by the warranty. No, since the advent of the iPhone X, not every screen comes with LCD. You can think of it this way: an LCD glass consists of two parts: pixels and backlight. The pixels provide color and the backlight shines light through the pixels, allowing you to see what you want to see. OLED can turn off pixels altogether, making black really black. Also, pixels that are off do not consume power and your display is more energy efficient. In addition, an OLED screen is thinner because you don’t need a separate backlight. Starting with the iPhone X, OLED screens will be provided. The iPhone Xr, iPhone 11 and iPhone SE are exceptions to this. Those still have an LCD screen.
