No rumors without iPhones

According to
KGI-Securities
, a company that has been proven right quite often with its predictions about new iPhones, Apple is coming out with a high-end budget device this year. To increase market share in China, the budget device would cost around $550, which amounts to a sloppy 450 euros. The device is said to feature a borderless 6.1-inch screen. By comparison, the iPhone 8 Plus has a 5.5-inch screen. Also, like the iPhone X be armed with a TrueDepth camera to enable Face ID and Animojis. When the new iPhone will be launched remains a mystery.

AppleInsider predicted that the American tech giant will come out with three new devices this year. In addition to the budget version, an iPhone X2 and an iPhone X2 Plus with 6-inch screen would be launched. The devices are getting bigger and bigger, now our hands

OnePlus 5 = 6

Recently, OnePlus came out with
some specifications
of the yet-to-be-launched OnePlus 6 model. The device will be waterproof, it will be significantly faster thanks to 8GB of working memory and it will be the first time a OnePlus will be waterproof. But last week, thanks to accessory manufacturer MobileFun, the design also leaked out. The OnePlus 6’s camera sits in the middle, as do the flash and fingerprint scanner. The device will feature a 6.3-inch screen and thus, except for the notch, will be completely borderless. Even with this device, it remains to be guessed when it will actually be launched.

The future is coming

Then something completely different. This is so uncertain that it can hardly be called a rumor, but dreams are always allowed. Indeed, patent applications from Samsung have revealed that the company is working on a ‘Electronic device having flexible display’. Indeed, you read correctly: a device with a flexible screen. The patent was filed a year and a half ago, but was granted this year only approved and announced last week. In the drawings at the patent is a device that has 3 separate parts that can be folded. Thus, the screen will fold with it. Its flexibility also allows it to be used as a smartwatch, e-reader and GPS kit for in-car use.

A patent does not necessarily mean that it will actually be turned into a physical product. Tech companies apply for dozens of patents a year of which only a minuscule fraction are launched. Anyway, a real life sci-fi world is getting closer and closer now.
