Oops, my Samsung has a black screen or purple spot
Does your Samsung phone have a black screen? Or are there purple spots on it? When your screen doesn’t do exactly what you want, it’s always annoying. Fortunately, there are some solutions to fix this. For example, in this blog we are going to discuss some steps you can do to fix this.
- Reset your Samsung
- Check for physical damage
- Stop by the store
Reset your Samsung
If your device no longer shows anything and the screen remains completely black, there may be a hang-up in the operating system. To fix this, you can give the device a reset, this will reboot the operating system. This is done without deleting the data from the Samsung, so all the photos, contacts and other valuable documents remain just fine on your device. To perform this reset, simultaneously press and hold the power button and the volume down button. The device will then first shut down completely and then vibrate briefly. You can then release the buttons. If the problem was in the operating system, it should now be fixed.
Check for physical damage
It could also be that your phone has taken a hit and suffered internal damage as a result. Just a small fall can cause your Samsung to land unhappily, causing a small tear. Unfortunately, this is not always visible immediately after a fall and thus may not show up for a few hours or even days. For example, it is often the case that with spots on the screen, there is a break in the OLED/LCD screen. This is the internal screen that displays the image on your Samsung. Sometimes it can still just be seen if the screen is off and you look closely at the screen. So, unfortunately, it is not always apparent from the internal screen itself. If the spots in your Samsung screen remain visible after a reset, you can assume that the screen itself is defective and will need to be replaced.
Stop by the store
The moment you think there is physical damage to your screen, it is best to replace your screen as soon as possible. In fact, there is a good chance that the spot or streak will get bigger, to the point where you can no longer see anything. The next step then is to stop by the store anyway.
