iPhone Setup: Turn off automatic screen brightness adjustment
Turn off automatic screen brightness adjustment, here’s how to do it!
We’ve all had moments when our iPhone’s automatic screen brightness adjustment drove us to madness. For example, you are outside in the sun and try to read your screen, but the brightness constantly changes and makes it difficult to see what is on the screen. But did you know there is a solution? In this blog, we’ll show you how to disable that irritating feature and regain control of your screen brightness.
Click on the video or read the simple guide here to get you started:
Step 1: Go to your settings
Step 2: Scroll To ‘Face ID and Access Code’
Once in your settings, scroll down and find the option called “Face ID and Access Code. Tap it to continue.
Step 3: Find “Facilities Attention Detection.
Now comes the important part. Under “Face ID and Access Code,” scroll down again until you see “Features Attention Detection. If this feature is enabled, your iPhone will try to detect if your attention is focused on the screen and adjust the screen brightness accordingly.
Step 4: Turn off ‘Facilities Attention Detection’
It is time to end the irritation. Tap “Features Attention Detection” and disable this feature by flipping the switch to gray.
And that’s all! You have now turned off attention detection on your iPhone, which means the screen brightness will no longer automatically adjust based on what you are looking at. You have full control over the brightness of your screen no matter where you are.
