MacBook water damage repair
If your MacBook has unfortunately not kept dry, our specialists always recommend having a repairman look at your laptop immediately. Don’t wait too long, because moisture can cause a lot of damage. Also unseen and in the long run damage can occur, for example because parts on the inside of the MacBook start to rust when they come into contact with water.
Moreover, specialists can better estimate the extent of the damage when the moisture is still visible. The sooner the moisture dries up, the more difficult it is for specialists to see where the moisture got into the MacBook, and thus the more complicated it is to clean. Should it turn out that, with very good luck, the moisture did not get into the MacBook, the specialists will see it immediately, and no further repair will be necessary. If you wait too long, then cleaning is necessary as a precaution. Therefore, take action as soon as possible; after all, a new MacBook is almost always more expensive than a water damage repair.

After you have completed the roadmap have gone through, there is really little you can do yourself to repair water damage to your MacBook air or MacBook Pro. In fact, we recommend a proprietary approach af:
- Do not connect the laptop to electricity. Water and electricity absolutely do not mix!
- Do not turn on the laptop until a repairman has looked at it. Even if it has been drying for hours or days, starting the MacBook can have catastrophic consequences.
- Do not use other devices to dry your MacBook. External heat sources such as a hair dryer can only cause more damage, especially to the inside of the laptop.
- Moisture-absorbing products such as rice or silica gel have no effect when drying a laptop.
- Do not open a laptop in case of water damage. So do not go and repair it yourself, but have a professional look at it.
