Step 1: Go to System Preferences

Open the Apple menu in the upper left corner of your screen and select “System Preferences” from the dropdown menu.

Step 2: Press Accessibility

Once in the System Preferences menu, find and click on “Accessibility.” This is where you get access to various features that improve the accessibility of your MacBook.

Step 3: Click on Keyboard

In the Accessibility menu, you’ll find a list of options on the left. Find and click on “Keyboard” to access keyboard-related settings.

Step 4: Click on Keyboard Shortcuts

Within the Keyboard menu, you’ll see several tabs at the top. Choose “Keyboard Shortcuts.”

Step 5: Press Services

Now you are in the Keyboard Shortcuts menu. Find and click on “Services” in the left sidebar. Here you will find a list of available services that you can activate.

Step 6: Press the arrow at ‘Text’

Under Services, look for “Text” in the list. Click the arrow next to “Text” to see more options.

Step 7: Check the ‘Summarise’ option

Scroll through the list of Text options and look for “Summarise. Check the box to activate this feature.

Step 8: Select a Piece of Text

Now your MacBook is ready to summarize text. Go to any text you want to summarize, such as a long article or a paragraph in a document.

Step 9: Press your right mouse button on the selected text and choose ‘Summarise’

Select the text you want to summarize, right-click and find the ‘Summarize’ option in the context menu. Click it and voilà, your MacBook gives you a concise summary of the selected text.
