Touchscreen iPhone 16 Pro
We hear it remarkably often with the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max: tapping, swiping, typing, you do your best, but your iPhone pretends you’re not there. Sometimes the screen doesn’t respond until the third try, sometimes not at all. And no, it’s not because of your screen time or your fingers.
The culprit? A slightly too fancy software feature designed to prevent accidental touching. Nice thought, slightly less fun in practice.
What can you do when your screen ignores you?
- Update to at least iOS 18.0.1. This addresses sensitivity better.
- Try a slightly slimmer case temporarily, so there are fewer pressure points on your screen.
- Still fussing? Stop by. Our specialists give you free advice
Is your iPhone 16 screen already broken? Then don’t wait any longer and make your appointment. Within 30 minutes we’ll have it fixed for you!
Battery iPhone 16 series
New iPhone set up with a back up from your previous one? Chances are your battery is suddenly going through it at lightning speed. Especially with the Pro Max models, we see this: you think everything is set right, but in the background your device is still busy for days.
What can you check for yourself?
- Go to Settings -> battery and see which apps are the biggest energy guzzlers.
- Turn off background refresh for apps you barely use.
- Does the drama continue? Reset your iPhone as a “new device. Sounds drastic, often works.

iPhone 16 reboots itself
Are you having a good time, you just open your banking app, and whoop: black screen. Apple logo. Your iPhone decides it’s time for a break. Some iPhone 16 models reboot themselves out of nowhere. Annoying? Yes. Solvable? Well and truly!
What can you try?
- Restore your iPhone via finder or iTunes and reset it (rather not restore a backup).
- Check at Settings -> privacy -> analysis and enhancements -> analysis data to see if anything suspicious is listed.

iPhone 16 camera opens by itself
You pick up your phone, want to check the time … and suddenly look at your own ceiling. The camera app spontaneously opens, and no, you didn’t do it yourself. That’s because of the new camera control button on the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max.
Useful on paper, but when your phone lives in your pocket, a little less so.
What can you do?
- Go to Settings -> Camera -> Control button and set what you do find convenient.
- A good case prevents inadvertent printing.
- Or let us check it out, within five minutes we’ll explain how to fix it.
Apple Pay doesn’t work on my iPhone 16
You hold your iPhone at the cash register and you can’t pay. Especially with the regular iPhone 16 and Plus, we regularly hear about Apple Pay quitting or faltering.
What helps?
- Put your device on airplane mode for a while and then back again.
- Go to Settings -> general- > reset -> network settings.
