iPad power button not working? Restart your iPad

If your iPad power button does not work, the cause may be due to a bug in the software. This problem has a very simple solution. By turning your iPad on and off, you can fix this problem. One small problem: You need the power button to restart the iPad. Therefore, we offer you an alternative solution where you don’t need this button:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Go to General
  3. Scroll down and press Turn off
  4. A slider appears at the top of your screen, slide it to the left to turn off the iPad
  5. Is the iPad turned off? Then turn it back on by connecting the iPad to the charger

Putting on and off button on screen

Still the same problem: your iPad power button is not working? Until you clean the power button(at ThePhoneLab we do this for free!) or have the button repaired, you can use AssistiveTouch. This feature puts an additional on and off button in your screen. You turn on AssistiveTouch in the following way:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Go to Accessibility
  3. Go to Touch
  4. Go to AssistiveTouch and turn on the feature by clicking the switch
  5. A white dot now appears on the screen; this is AssistiveTouch

This dot allows you to mimic the on and off button in the screen. Click on the dot and you will see Device. If you click on this you will see Lock screen. Allows you to temporarily lock your screen. Via Device > More > Restart you can restart the iPad.
