About Bram
Bram has been working at ThePhoneLab since May 2021, but his experience in the repair business goes back much further. He has been working as a repairman since 2013. What began as a side job grew into a profession in which he has now accumulated over ten years of experience. Repairing has become almost routine for him, and he means that in a positive way.
His strength lies mainly in MacBook and iPad repairs. Complex jobs where technical insight and precision come together appeal to him the most. One repair that has stuck with him is an iPad that was completely bent, literally like a banana. Where others might consider the device lost, Bram took out the motherboard, carefully restored the frame to shape and made the necessary repairs. In the end, the device worked as it should again, including preservation of important data. Challenges like that make the profession interesting.
With an unknown malfunction, Bram always starts with the basics: what happened? By asking carefully about when the problem arose, he first maps out the situation. Then he systematically checks the important functions. Before a device goes back to the customer, he always checks that everything is working properly, that the battery is in good condition and that the device is handed over cleanly.
For Bram, quality means above all working with good parts. But just as important to him is the customer experience. His smile and positive energy are often appreciated. Ultimately, he gets the most satisfaction from making people happy. A well repaired appliance is important, but a customer leaving the store with a good feeling, that’s what he does it for. Outside of work, he enjoys gaming and playing soccer. In Rocket League, he plays at Grand Champion level.
