About Riny

Riny works as a shop manager in our Maastricht branch and has been repairing appliances since 2010. His first device? An iPhone 2G. What started as a practical choice grew into a profession he feels completely at home in. He originally worked as a fireman in the port of Rotterdam, but was fed up with the daily traffic jams. When he got the opportunity to start a telephone repair business in Breda – within cycling distance – the choice was quickly made. That’s how he got into the repair business.

Since then, he has spent 12 years in his own shop building up broad experience with iPhone and Samsung repairs, among other things. These days, he also works on MacBooks and laptops, something that appeals to him precisely because it offers yet another new challenge. That technical variety keeps the work interesting.

For Riny, quality is all about thorough checking. Before a device goes back to the customer, he always checks the battery capacity and tests all the important functions, from microphone to camera. That way he avoids surprises afterwards. Transparency is just as important to him. He likes to chat and works openly so that customers know exactly where they stand.

He gets the most satisfaction from positive reviews. A customer leaving the store happy and sharing that too, that’s what he does it for.

Outside of work, he can be found in the gym a lot. For years he was a bodybuilding fanatic, and he still works out regularly. His lab coat usually survives, but sometimes it’s close to tearing out like the Hulk.
