About Job
Job has been working at ThePhoneLab since March 2018. What started as a side job alongside his mechanical engineering studies grew into a versatile role within the company. He combined his technical background with experience in retail and found exactly that mix in the repair profession. For years he worked as a repair specialist and shop manager; today he focuses mainly on the website and internal projects, but his technical base always remains the core.
Behind the counter, his strength was mostly in quick iPhone repairs, but he got great satisfaction from more complex iPad and MacBook repairs. Jobs that require more than just replacing a part. One repair that has stayed with him is an extremely bent iPad whose new screen never seemed to fit. With patience, precision and where necessary some persuasion, he still got the device back into shape so that it could be successfully repaired.
His approach is analytical and structured. When faced with an unknown failure, he always starts by reproducing the problem. First listen carefully, then test, and step by step figure out the cause. Not just solving the symptom, but understanding why something is happening. Before returning an appliance, he always checks that the problem has really been solved and that the appliance is handed over clean and tidy.
For Job, quality means above all transparency. Clearly explaining what you do and giving honest advice when repairing is not the best choice. His goal? That customers think afterwards: I should have done this sooner. To really relax, Job likes to spend hours in the kitchen preparing the most delicious dishes.
