Specialist Jeffrey Vossen

About Jeffrey

Jeffrey and ThePhoneLab go back to the early years. In the summer of 2015, just after ThePhoneLab was founded, he started working as a repair specialist alongside his studies in finance. During that time, he worked in stores on the Marnixstraat and Beethovenstraat in Amsterdam, among other places. He learned the repair profession mainly in practice: watching along, trying it himself and learning a lot from colleagues.

After college, Jeffrey made a foray into finance and worked at KPMG. Still, the connection with ThePhoneLab remained. In 2021, he returned to the company, this time in a different role. Today, he is responsible for finance and purchasing within ThePhoneLab. His background as a repair specialist helps him with this on a daily basis. Having worked in the store himself for many years, he knows exactly what parts are needed for repairs and where challenges lie in practice. He uses that knowledge when setting prices, optimizing the cost structure and purchasing parts and accessories.

An important part of his work revolves around international sourcing. Together with colleague Zohra, he works to buy parts, accessories and tools directly from suppliers, including in China. In doing so, he ensures that stores can continue to operate with good parts.

What Jeffrey loves most about his job is building the company together with the team. It gives him satisfaction to see stores grow, processes improve and customers ultimately walk out the door with a working device and a smile.

Outside of work, he enjoys playing sports. He also plays padel regularly and enjoys going with friends to festivals or on faraway trips.
